From Thong Lo BTS to Sukhumvit Soi 11
Thong Lo BTS (E6) is on the Sukhumvit Line, three stops from Nana (E3). The stops in order are Phrom Phong, Asok and Nana, so you stay on the train the whole way. Board towards Khu Khot on Platform 2 rather than towards Kheha. The ride is about five minutes and there is no change of line.
At Nana, get off and take Exit 3, which serves Soi 9 and Soi 11. From there the walk is 549 m, about seven minutes, and number 33/2 is on the left.

Train or taxi from Thong Lo
The train is the default because the station sits at the mouth of Soi 55, which runs more than two kilometres north to New Phetchaburi Road. Anything past the first few sois is a motorbike ride, not a walk: The Commons on Soi 17 is 1,578 m and 21 min on foot, and motorbike taxis wait at the Exit 3 mouth. By road the trip to Soi 11 is 4,157 m, heaviest between 17:00 and 19:00. Walking it is 3,601 m and 48 min.
Getting back to Thong Lo after a late session
We close at 03:00, which belongs to the following morning. The last train from Nana that reaches Thong Lo leaves at 00:20, a supplementary service to Samrong; the other way, the last from Thong Lo that reaches Nana is 00:04. The BTS runs 05:00 to 01:00, so a session to closing has no train at all. Miss the 00:20 at Nana and it is Grab, Bolt or a metered taxi; most of the soi's kitchens are shut by then, so eat before you travel.

Exit 3. It is the only exit on the Soi 55 side, so you reach the soi mouth with no road crossing, and it has an escalator. Walk about 20 m into the soi, then left. Exit 1 is on the Soi 53 side, away from the soi mouth.
How far is it from the Thong Lo hotels to the station?
Hotel Nikko at 27 Soi 55 is 304 m from the station, the Marriott on Soi 57 is 335 m, JAL City 358 m, Staybridge Suites 754 m and Grande Centre Point 1,115 m. The cluster straddles Sois 55, 57 and 59.
Which Thong Lo kitchens are still open after midnight?
Most of the well-known kitchens on Soi 55 close between 22:00 and 23:30. The Commons Thonglor and Krua Jiang Mai run to 01:00, and the only 04:00 kitchen named is on Soi 63, the Ekkamai side. Eat before you travel.
Can we come by canal boat instead?
The Saen Saep boat calls at Soi Thonglor pier, pier 15 of 28, under the bridge at the north end of the soi. It runs 06:00–18:00 one way and 07:00–19:15 the other, so it is a daytime option, never a way home.
